Skanska maintains its position as office transaction leader in CEE region

2015 marked another strong annual performance by Skanska Commercial Development Europe. The company signed final sale agreements for eleven office buildings located in three Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries, achieving a total transaction volume of nearly 500 mln EUR for the year. Skanska is now compiling its sales portfolio for 2016 and continues to purchase land for new development projects.

The cornerstone ceremony for Nordic Light, Skanska Property Hungary’s 7th office building in Budapest, was held on April 2nd. Located conveniently on inner Váci Road, Nordic Light is to become one of the most prestigious new office buildings in the capital of Hungary. CBRE was appointed as the exclusive letting agent of Nordic Light office building.

Skanska started the construction works of its seventh office building in Budapest. Nordic Light, as it has been named, is being developed on inner Váci road, the main office corridor of Budapest. Phase I is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2016.

Office Garden II has received Gold Certification under LEED® (LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance, EBOM) rating scheme ─ the OGH News-Agency learnt from Norbert Szircsák, Senior Associate of Colliers Green Advisory Services. Compared to other office buildings in the market, in terms of energy consumption per m2 Office Garden II is ranked among the best and received significant score in the energy category of the LEED rating system.
